Sam George
You know when you're talking to someone, not about anything in particular,
there’s no real intention driving both,
what you are talking about and how you ended up talking.
(Well, maybe the intention was the simple desire to be in that space together for that moment.)
The importance of the contents is unremarkable to anyone eavesdropping and perhaps the participants themselves.
There’s a certain loss of consciousness for beyond you both,
maybe a blur of background, though not enough to trip if you're walking,
and yet still retaining the ability to notice a small house fire.
Maybe you don't know what I mean.
There are these conversations I have had, I couldn’t hold them, I can’t remember them, so I'm trying to find them instead. I’m looking for where they are, I'm trying to build a place for them.
for a conversation, now, sometimes, oops- oh no... sorry, i mean, somewhere… for a conversation, somewhere is an exhibition that builds the space to hold the materialisation of conversations using sculptural structures, instructions, people and performance.
