Rosa Spring Voss
I explore the instinctual motivation to collaborate and make work about and with my family. This work, a video installation and live reading, documents and responds to private and ongoing conversations with my father since 2020.
Mckenzie Wark states there’s kinda something adorable in the memoir, because it thinks itself as knowable. This installation has allowed me to experience a different kind of closeness with my father. The apparatus of the camera acting as mediator creating the reflexive ability to edit, alter and play with narrative with curiosity of the weight, nuance, and tension of intimate relationships.
