Lola Adami

Shifting between documentation and dismantling an ever-fluctuating visual and emotional archive, my practice revolves strongly around preservation of the temporary, representation of the familiar and domestic and through curation of visual symbols, narrating a collective history, displaced.

Working through an analogue film process, the photograph frames the narrative, holding it still to absorb. Seeking to settle myself in place, the inconsequential becomes the subject, giving space to favour an internal authority for visual ambiguity.
