We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners of the lands upon which our campus is situated, the people of the Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung, who have created art, made music and told their stories here for thousands of generations. Emerging from personal and found photographs connected to my lived experience, this body of work reflects a nostalgia for my ‘now’. Pictures of friends immortalised forever in paint speaks to my sense of past and present - a vivid history of the moment - that becomes all the more certain in the light of uncertain futures. The exploration of my nostalgia through painting is an attempt to materialise that which cannot be material, a canvas of memory.
