Hi, I’m Jaja.

Humour serves as a driving force in my art. Social observations, wordplay, strange encounters, foreign films, weird conversations, travel mishaps, misheard words, and daily musings, among many others, are abundant prompts in my plethora of ideas. I am interested in exploring the humorous intersections and overlaps between opposites, seeking the captivating and lighthearted facets of difficult topics while aiming to challenge perceptions. My practice spans painting, photography, installation, sound, video, ceramics, digital media, sculpture and performance.
