Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting)

My practice explores sincerity in our relationship with the ‘artificial’ and evaluates our entangled proximity to it. Appropriating nostalgic imagery of early 2000’s virtual media, I recontextualise the uncanny coded companions within a classical painting canon. Bringing these cyber kin to life through a dedicated, heartfelt painting practice, their grandiose presence implores you to engage with your responsibility to the non-physical.
